In his role as Advisor to ASPI, Dennis brings his provider supply chain experiences and perspectives to support medical device manufacturers in the creation of plans and strategies to improve their programs related to sales, industry education, marketing, relationship development, and more.
Dennis is a former Associate Executive Director for the Strategic Marketplace Initiative (SMI). For well over a decade, Dennis guided SMI’s activities and initiatives, helping to build SMI’s influence in the industry. While at SMI, Dennis established and implemented strategic priorities; grew thought-leader membership; maintained industry relations; managed conference planning; and coordinated many SMI team activities.
Prior to his leadership role for SMI, Dennis consulted extensively with providers and suppliers in the healthcare supply chain marketplace, providing project leadership at BD Healthcare Consulting, VHA Improvement Services, and Concepts in Healthcare. He first developed his supply chain management skillset at the provider level while serving in operational leadership at Boston City Hospital and St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, followed by valuable time in supply chain for Partners Healthcare System, overseeing system supply contracting and supply utilization. He was recognized by Healthcare Purchasing News in 2007 as a supply chain influencer to watch. Throughout his career, Dennis has taken pride in successfully managing multi-million-dollar projects, facilitating executive initiatives, contributing to industry publications, learning from others while also sharing his knowledge and experiences, implementing new systems and processes, and successfully delivering positive results for everyone he works with.
Dennis is an active member of AHRMM, a past board member of HCMMS, and remains an active member in the healthcare supply chain profession.
